PI Worldwide Bolsters Leadership Team with Claire Rickards Ph.D. as New Associate Director of Science

Appointment of new Associate Director of Science at PI Worldwide extends company’s 55-year commitment to delivering scientifically validated talent assessments to organizations around the world.
WELLESLEY, Mass. November 30, 2011 – PI Worldwide, a premier global management consultancy specializing in science-based behavioral and skills assessments, today announced the appointment of Dr. Claire Rickards as the new Associate Director of Science for PI Worldwide’s Science Department. In this role, Dr. Rickards will be working alongside PI Worldwide’s Director of Science, Todd Harris Ph.D., to conduct ongoing validity research and product development, as well as execute criterion-related performance studies, providing science-driven insights into the creation and deployment of enterprise-wide talent management strategies.
Continuing PI Worldwide’s long history of providing leading assessments and training to organizations of all sizes and across industries, Dr. Rickards will work with PI Worldwide's growing network of 350 consultants to expand and enhance the use of PI Worldwide's behavioral assessment, the Predictive Index® (PI®), which identifies the natural behaviors and motivations of individuals at all levels of the organization to improve performance.
Created in 1955 by PI Worldwide Founder Arnold S. Daniels, the Predictive Index is employed by more than 8,000 companies worldwide. With PI Worldwide’s recent expansion into new markets including China and Singapore, and continued plans for growth through 2012, Dr. Rickards will work to help current and future clients leverage the benefits of personality and human capital analytics in addressing today’s global talent challenges like retention, leadership development, team building and motivation.

Dr. Rickards joins PI Worldwide after completing a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Connecticut, where her research focused on the areas of personality assessment and feedback for selection and developmental purposes. She also holds dual Masters’ Degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Educational Psychology, respectively, from the University of Connecticut.
A seasoned business consultant and manager, Dr. Rickards has spent nearly a decade working with Fortune 500 companies. Her areas of expertise include competency modeling, executive assessment and coaching, leadership techniques, climate/culture evaluations, work process re-design and alignment, 360 degree feedback, and personality assessment and feedback. Drawing on her extensive experience working across numerous industries such as securities lending and healthcare for companies including Accenture, APT Metrics, Granitar Incorporated, and PrimeGenesis, Dr. Rickards will be integral in helping PI Worldwide’s global clients align corporate strategy with talent management.
Dr. Rickards is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), and the University of Virginia Alumni Association.
Dr. Rickards will be based in the PI Worldwide corporate headquarters in Wellesley, MA.
