Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST) Measure a candidate’s basic English skills and math skills based upon job requirements.
Description
The WBST is a short-form measure of basic English skills and math skills for adults. Used in pre-employment testing, results can be directly compared to the basic skills required for entry-level jobs.
Content
Available as a set or as a separate basic English test or basic math test, the WBST Verbal and Quantitative tests quickly help measure skills required to succeed in many occupations.
WBST content and results are directly tied to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) General Educational Development Scales (GED). A Wonderlic consultant will work with you to analyze your specific job(s) to establish appropriate minimum math and language scores to use when hiring for any or all of your positions.
Purpose
The WBST is an employment test that helps you verify whether a candidate has the necessary jobrelated verbal and math skills. It is also ideal for determining training program eligibility and outcomes, and for ensuring that all employees have the basic skills to participate effectively in ISO and other quality assurance programs and initiatives.
